READY STEADY SERIES

Ready Steady from Pregon Publishing is a new, fun and exciting educational programme for very young English language learners.

The Ready Steady programme is comprised of a three-level pre-primary course book series that supports language acquisition and skills development. it contains digital materials for both classroom and home use, making it a versatile tool for promoting effective learning.

Ready Steady contains a variety of traditional nursery rhymes, fairy tales and fingerplays. it includes a tear out Story Time and a fun Project Time in each unit. it highlights values which teach children how to behave both inside and outside the classroom.

Pupil's Books (includes audio)

Each unit is 10 pages long with developmentally appropriate and fun theme-related activities. Stickers and press outs provide additional fun and enhance the development of psychomotor skills. Each unit contains a theme-related Story Time booklet to promote children's interest in reading and provides an important home-school connection. On the Project Time page children get to make a project to enhance their understanding of the unit. Children develop math's skills through shape recognition, counting and sequencing. Ready Steady presents numbers 1-10 in Level 1 and numbers 1-20 in Level 2.

Activity Books

The Activity Book gives children focused reinforcement and extension. Each unit contains a variety of activities to recycle the vocabulary and language structures. Cut outs provide addi- tional fun and enhance the development of psychomotor skills while the review pages can be used for revision or assessment purposes.

Online Platform for Students & Parents

This platform is great for reviewing and extending what has been taught in the classroom. Learners can learn the new vocabulary by looking at the flashcards while simultaneously listening to the audios. Structures can be practiced by listening and singing along to the Unit Song. With the inclusion of Balloon Pop Games, Game-Based Assessments and Printable Worksheets students can practice to attain perfection. includes "Talking instructions" so students can easily understand and follow.

The Teacher's Guide contains the scope and sequence, tips for teachers and suggestions for teaching Ready Steady. There is a unit overview with the teaching materials, learning aims, learning activities & skills, the topics, key words & structures, and links for each unit's traditional Extra Activity, along with all the pages of both books.

At the back of the Teacher's Guide you can find a game bank, the parental letters, and photocopiable resources.

Audios

The original songs with catchy tunes will delight children. The theme-based dialogues introduce the unit's vocabulary and target language. The "Story Time" audio with page turning prompts are included. The values' dialogue helps to illustrate the meaning of the values. The above all provide opportunities for the children to listen, imitate, repeat and begin to speak on their own.

Classware

The multimedia component containing the Activity and Pupil's book for use on the interactive White Board in the classroom. it includes animation and many extra activities to help children enhance mental and physical skills while making the lessons more interesting and engaging. Embedded are audio and flashcards with review vocabulary activities.

Posters

A colourful visual aid with labels to enhance learning and make the learning environment more engaging.

Flashcards

A set of two-sided pictured cards with the target vocabulary on the reverse. A versatile study tool that can be used in many fun ways for introducing, practicing and revising vocabulary. The flashcards also appear in the Classware with matching audio files.

Storycards

Four story cards per unit help tell the story and are later used for games to practice and review the vocabulary and target structures.

Puppets

Plush puppets help leaners model the language and further engage.

Erol The Eagle Series

READY STEADY SERIES

Errol The Eagle is a two-level story-based pre-primary course for very young learners of English. it is comprised of an Activity Book and six different entertaining theme-based stories. This series encourages young children to use their verbal skills, using many varied speaking activities, in a fun and playful way that are at the same time confidence building.

Activity Books

The Activity Book consolidates the language of the story. it also provides activities for the learners to develop their fine motor skills by colouring, cutting and gluing and their listening skills with two listening activities per storybook. it also includes mini-flashcards to take home. in Volume 2 there are 2 extra activities. To further enhance the development of fine motor skills, three of the 10 activities involve cutting.

Story Books

The Storybooks are a set of six stories. Each story is in a separate book with a "How to use" section included on the inside back cover.

Teacher's Books

The Teacher's Book contains step-by-step lesson plans, the focused language(children's language) and the receptive language (classroom language). Each lesson plan contains detailed suggestions for presenting the new language, group and individual practice and games, and tape scripts of the songs and stories. it includes teaching tips and it also suggests activities for the mini-flashcards, which the students will take home after lesson eight.

Big Books

The Big Books help students to focus attention as they are learning to listen. Picture Flashcards
